SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are looking for experienced individuals to support children with special educational needs within a classroom environment. We work with schools across the UK assiting them in finding quality staff members who can enhance the lives of children in and out of education. As well as supporting the schools we work with, we also invest in the learning and development of our educators; providing free courses, webinars and information packs to ensure you can grow and develop in your career whilst you work with us.
We are looking for applicants who…..
- Have a strong understanding and knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities
- Have a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and keeping children safe in education
- Are patient and resilient with good skills in behaviour management
- Are able to assist children in processing difficult emotions
- Have experience working in a classroom setting or are willing to develop skills and knowledge using our CPD courses and learning resources provided.
- Are willing to attend a trial to assess suitability for the role (where applicable)
Teaching Personnel educators are:
- Professional at all times
- Pro-active and self-motivated
- Up-to-date on their safeguarding training and knowledge with the ability to navigate every scenario effectively and appropriately
- Punctual
- Flexible and understanding
- Organised and prepared
Rate of pay is £12.90-£14.50 per hour depending on specifics within the role and applicant experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
