A highly reputable and Ofsted-rated GOOD primary school in the heart of Ealing is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic and supportive team. Role Overview: The successful candidate will work closely with children who have special educational needs (SEN), providing tailored support to ensure that their individual learning needs are met. The role will involve working across the school, supporting students in the classroom as well as in small group and 1:1 settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to children with a range of special educational needs, including learning, social, and emotional needs.
  • Work under the guidance of the SENCo and class teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Assist with the delivery of interventions and tailored learning activities to promote inclusion.
  • Support children with emotional and behavioral needs, offering encouragement and positive reinforcement.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Help to create a safe and supportive learning environment for all pupils.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting, particularly with children who have special educational needs.
  • A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude with a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Knowledge of strategies and interventions for supporting children with a variety of special educational needs.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
  • A commitment to promoting an inclusive educational environment where all children are valued and supported.
