Location: Ealing

SEN-ADHD Teaching Assistant

Full time (8:30am to 3:30pm, Mon to Fri)

Pay: £85 - £105 per day

This Primary school is a 2-form entry primary school in the Southall area of the London Borough of Ealing, serving a diverse community. The school is a very successful, with a range of facilities available to aid students and teachers’/teaching assistants’ needs.

 

Breakdown of job role

The Role

• To work under the guidance of teachers in the planning and implementation of work programmes with individuals or groups of pupils with special educational needs including ADHD.

• To provide general support to the inclusion team and class teachers in the support of pupils with special educational needs inside and outside of the classroom.

• To assist the teachers and inclusion team in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.

• To promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn, develop and be successful.

• To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children within the school.

 

Essential requirements/training/qualifications

• A passionate Teaching Assistant who has experience of working with children with additional needs – to work within the school and its SEN unit.

• Flexible and be able to work as part of a team to improve the outcomes for pupils.

• Able to plan and deliver a range of interventions for pupils to support their academic and emotional wellbeing.

• Actively engaged in improving their own skills through seeking constructive feedback.

 

Locality of the school

Southall – Borough of Ealing

The school is located within Southall which falls under the Ealing borough, a short walk away from Southall station so easily accessible by train, with bus routes also nearby. The school does not have a staff car park, but there are some residential street parking nearby, with some ticketed bay parking.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
