Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a caring and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to work with primary-aged children in Deptford. This role is perfect for someone with experience in SEN settings who can also provide transportation for pupils using their own vehicle. Having business insurance is a requirement for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer tailored, one-on-one, and group support to SEN primary pupils, promoting their educational and personal development.
- Assist teachers with the preparation and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for students to and from school or off-site activities.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and liaise with teaching staff and parents as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in an SEN or primary setting.
- Full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
- Business insurance for transporting students (mandatory).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and respond to challenging behaviors with patience and empathy.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
