Job description

An award-winning group of specialist SEN schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN English Teacher to join the permanent team at their alternative provision site in Darwen. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an innovative, supportive environment that prioritises the educational and emotional well-being of its students.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified English teacher with experience in SEN settings.
  • Have a deep understanding of diverse learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
  • Be skilled in creating inclusive, differentiated lesson plans tailored to individual students.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive, nurturing learning environment.
  • Be adaptable, patient, and committed to helping students achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
