About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in Clitheroe. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs. You will be supporting students with a range of learning and developmental needs, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and care to thrive in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN.

• Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).

• Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to adapt learning materials and strategies.

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

• Support students with personal care, social interactions, and emotional well-being where necessary.

• Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reports.

• Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals as required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential.

• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with students.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle (travel to different sites may be required).

• A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN training) is beneficial but not essential.

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
