SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
SEMH Support Role – Bradford
Are you confident in working with young people who exhibit challenging behavior and face mental health difficulties? A supportive school in Bradford is currently looking for dedicated staff to make a positive impact on the day to day education experience of their pupils.
The ideal candidate will help foster a constructive learning environment for students across various age groups who have SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs. Previous experience working with SEMH and challenging behavior is essential, whether through classroom assistance, a background in Psychology, or relevant support work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tailor your support to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
- Provide assistance with both academic learning and social development.
- Familiarity with Team Teach or similar positive behavior management training.
- Confident in managing and de-escalating challenging situations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 months' residency in the UK.
- Right to work in the UK and Overseas Criminal Clearance.
- A valid driving license is preferred due to the location of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
