A role of a SEN Teaching Assistant is to support children with their learning activities and to support the class teacher with preparation of class work and maintain an inviting learning environment. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will require you to work with children with special educational needs (SEN) or with physical disabilities. This support may be on a 1:1 or small group basis during your working week. These opportunities will vary in year groups from EYFS - Year 6, depending on your expertise, preference and any prior experience (personal and professional). No SEN Teaching Assistant position is the same and not everyday is the same!
No formal qualification’s are necessarily required to embark on the path to become a SEN TA, but a patient and a supportive nature is key. At Teaching Personnel, we are recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants who are keen to pursue a career within education. We have various roles open whether it be part-time work, full-time positions or day to day supply cover for those that need a little more flexibility or want to gain further experience working with children. Previous experience working with children (such as tutoring, sports coaching, childcare and youth work) is desired!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
