Job Title: Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Blackpool and the Fylde Coast

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and experienced SEN TAs to fill various roles in schools across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with diverse needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and SEMH.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver tailored learning strategies.
- Support students in achieving their individual education plan (IEP) targets.
- Assist in managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours in a calm and effective manner.
- Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking individuals who:
- Have prior experience working with children or young people with SEN.
- Can demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience when supporting learners.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can adapt to various school environments and confidently manage different challenges.
- Hold relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certification (preferred but not essential).

Requirements
- A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
- Experience working in an SEN environment or with children/young people with additional needs.
- Availability for short-term, long-term, or day-to-day assignments.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
