SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are looking for resilient, passionate, full-time Teaching Assistants to support SEN School in Bedale. You will be classroom based, supporting children with additional needs including but not limited to: ASC, ADHD, behavioural challenges. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting additional needs in a school setting.
Main Duties:
- To be responsible for the safety of children by exercising adequate support and supervision
- Support the Class Teacher with resources and general classroom activities
- Record pupil progress and behaviour
- Personal care (feeding, changing, toileting)
- Enhance the social, emotional and mental health of children
Requirements:
- Previous or relevant experience working with SEND children
- Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
- We do not accept those on skilled worker visas
- Minimum of three months UK residency
- Have an overseas criminal clearance (if applicable) or willing to apply for one
- Have a child enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
- Please ensure you have references available upon request covering the last 24 months of employment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
