SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
Location: Accrington
Salary: £13.75 - £15
Contract: Full time (School hours 8.30 - 3.30, term time only)
Start Date: 22nd April
Are you a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour management skills? We are looking for a committed individual to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Global development delay and ADHD, helping them to thrive in a supportive learning environment.
About the Role:

Provide individualised support to a pupil with global development delay and ADHD, tailoring strategies to their needs.

Implement behaviour management techniques to support engagement and learning.

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow and adapt learning plans.

Encourage the pupil’s independence, confidence, and emotional regulation.

Use positive reinforcement to motivate learning and social development.
About You:
✅ Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ADHD and development delay.
✅ Strong behaviour management skills with a calm, patient, and positive approach.
✅ Ability to differentiate learning and provide structured support.
✅ Understanding of EHCPs and strategies to support additional needs.
✅ A team player who can liaise effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
