English Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
Contract Type: Maternity Cover (Starting April 2025)
An esteemed and highly reputable Special Educational Needs (SEN) School Group is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their exceptional team at their school in Rugby. Role and Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons to students with a range of special educational needs.
- Develop tailored lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet individual learning requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the SEN team to implement personalised learning strategies.
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining detailed records and reporting to senior staff and parents as required.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and confidence.
- Participate in school events, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching English, ideally within an SEN setting.
- Strong understanding of a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability, creativity, and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
