Salary: Starting at £166.32 per day

Job Overview:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a special educational needs (SEN) school in RCT. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to support children with additional learning needs across all school classes.

About the School:
The SEN school in Cardiff provides education for children aged 3 to 19 with diverse special educational needs (SEN), including:

  • Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) Difficulties

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)

  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver interactive and creative lessons tailored to the diverse needs of students.

  • Ensure differentiated learning strategies are applied to make learning accessible for all pupils.

  • Work closely with the school staff to ensure the multi-sensory approach to learning is consistently implemented.

  • Provide ongoing support and encouragement to SEN students to help them reach their full potential.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Proven experience working with SEN students (though prior experience in a special school is not essential)

  • Genuine passion for supporting children with learning difficulties and a proactive, hands-on approach to teaching

  • Understanding of how to adapt lessons and differentiate learning methods to suit a range of learning needs

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with Autism, PMLD, SLD, and other complex needs is an advantage

  • Enthusiasm for supporting children with diverse learning abilities

  • A commitment to special education and a desire to grow within the sector
