Job description

SEN Teacher

As a SEN Teacher you’ll be working with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You’ll be there to help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem. You will need to be resilient and dedicated, but those huge small victories that you achieve will be something you’re really proud of. 

Experience:
- Your genuine passion for teaching and the impact your subject can have on young lives
- The ability to ensure your teaching is relatable to each pupil and build great relationships with your class
- Your enthusiasm and expertise to build your department
- You’ll also need previous teaching experience and have Qualified Teacher Status

 - Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.

 - Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varying needs and learning styles of pupils.

 - Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

 - Collaborate with other educators, parents, and external professionals to support student development.

 - Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.

Skills and Attributes:

 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 - Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEN.

 - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

 - Strong organizational and time-management skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
