Are you a passionate Teacher who would like the opportunity to work with children and young adults with severe and complex learning needs?

We have an opportunity for you to work in a lovely school in Knowsley, based in a two-story building with a range of facilities, including hydrotherapy pools, multi-use game areas, a play park and sensory gardens.

  • Hours/Days: Monday-Friday, 8.00am-3.00pm (Term-Time only)
  • Start date- As soon as possible.
  • Specialist provision- Liverpool
  • Pay in line with Teaching Scale point £28,000-£43,685.

All students have an individual education health care plan in place which supports the pupil in the best way possible and give them the support they need, making sure all individual needs are met.

The school caters for 200 pupils who all have severe learning difficulties, ASC, Profound and multiple learning difficulties, and sensory and complex needs. The school work very closely with parents to ensure that the students are happy and comfortable and they can both work together, putting the best interests of the child first to ensure all needs are being met.

The school received a GOOD Ofsted rating, leaders are very ambitious that regardless of their individual needs, students will achieve their personal and academic targets. Pupils also enjoy learning at different facilities such as Leisure centres, museums, and safari parks.

The ideal teacher would be somebody with a lot of compassion and resilience, you will need lots of patience to ensure that the pupils are receiving all the care they need. You will be passionate about supporting vulnerable people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
