SEN Teacher – Special Education School – Leicester (LE2)
We are working with a specialist SEN school in Leicester (LE2) that is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and communication difficulties.
The Role:

Teaching KS2-KS4 students with a range of additional needs, tailoring lessons to suit individual learning styles.

Creating an inclusive and structured classroom environment that promotes engagement and personal development.

Using specialist teaching approaches, including PECS, Makaton, and sensory integration strategies.
-
Working closely with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure the best outcomes for students.
-
Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development in a nurturing setting.

The Ideal Candidate:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS with experience in SEN education.
-
Experience teaching students with complex learning needs, including ASC, SEMH, and communication difficulties.

Knowledge of SEN-specific strategies, such as TEACCH, PECS, or sensory integration.
-
A patient, adaptable, and empathetic teaching approach.
-
Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to collaborative working.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
