Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Hertfordshire
Type: Full-time (permanent)
Salary: £31,650 – £49,084
Job Description: As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging learning, within a meaningful and individualised curriculum designed to challenge and stretch all learners in your class. You’ll work as part of a dedicated team focused on providing the best education possible to prepare our students for their future.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver tailored, high-quality learning.
- Create an engaging and supportive environment.
- Work closely with class leaders, therapists, and other professionals.
- Contribute to the overall development of the curriculum.
- Lead and manage support staff effectively.
- Engage in assessments and report on students' progress.
- Potential for involvement in physical intervention and personal care routines.
Requirements:
- PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification with evidence of ongoing professional development (essential).
- A solid understanding of the Teacher Standards and expectations.
- Experience or knowledge of SEN, particularly sensory-led curriculums.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Attention to detail in assessing, recording, and reporting progress.
- Leadership skills, with the ability to guide and support other adults in the classroom.
