Are you an experienced and passionate teacher with a dedication to supporting students with special educational needs (SEN)? We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time SEN Primary School Teacher in Colne, where you will have the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of young learners.

About the Role:
As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering tailored learning experiences to students with a range of special educational needs, ensuring they reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Your role will involve adapting lessons, developing personalised strategies, and providing support that meets the unique needs of each child. You will work closely with a team of professionals to create a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and inclusive lessons for students with SEN.

  • Use a range of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring progress and achievement for all.

  • Collaborate with support staff, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Manage behaviour positively and promote an environment of respect and inclusion.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and celebrating successes.

  • Support the social and emotional development of students, encouraging confidence and independence.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching students with SEN in a primary school setting.

  • A creative and flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt to individual learning needs.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.

  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
