Pay Rate: £31,650 per annum
Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a passion for Special Educational Needs (SEN) to begin their teaching careers in supportive and inclusive educational settings across Lancashire. We are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals who are eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
About the Role
The successful candidates will work in a range of SEN and mainstream schools, supporting pupils with diverse needs including autism, learning difficulties, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and speech and language challenges. These roles offer the chance to develop your skills in adaptive teaching and behaviour support, with strong guidance and mentoring in place.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils.
- Develop and implement strategies based on Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and individual behaviour plans.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to support their learning and emotional development.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams, and external professionals.
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupils’ progress, maintaining accurate records.
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS), ideally with SEN placement or experience.
- A strong commitment to inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to remain calm and adaptable in a dynamic classroom environment.
- A positive, reflective, and proactive approach to teaching and learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
