SEN Teaching Assistant for Secondary Schools
Location: Clapham, Greater London, England
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £85 - £105 per day
Job Duties:
- Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in secondary school settings
- Assist classroom teachers in implementing individual education plans for SEN students
- Offer one-on-one support to students who require extra assistance with their academic work
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with children or young adults with SEN
- Knowledge of various learning styles and approaches to supporting SEN students
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths, additional qualifications in SEN support are desirable
Experience:
Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with SEN strategies and interventions
- Ability to build rapport with students and establish positive relationships
- Strong organisational skills and multitasking abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools
- First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
This role involves working within a secondary school environment, providing support to SEN students during school hours. There may be a need for occasional additional hours for meetings or special events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
