Job Title: SEN Support Worker
Location: Penarth and Barry
Salary: £86.40 per day
Contract Type: Full time

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Support Worker to join a fantastic SEN school in Penarth and Barry.
About the Role:
As an SEN Support Worker, you will provide essential support to students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. Your role will involve:
- Supporting students in their learning, both in and out of the classroom.
- Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
- Working closely with teachers and therapists to ensure students' progress and well-being.
- Encouraging independence and building students’ confidence.
- Creating a safe and inclusive environment for all pupils.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential).
- A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A willingness to undertake training and professional development.
- A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
