Location: York
Salary: £85 - £95 per day
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Do you want to help make a meaningful difference in their education journey? Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Support Assistants to work in schools across York.

About the Role
As an SEN Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies
  • Work closely with teaching staff to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Encourage and promote independence, confidence, and engagement in learning

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Patient, empathetic, and approachable
  • Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
  • A team player with excellent communication skills
  • Experienced in working with SEN pupils (preferred but not essential – training is available)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
