Job Title: SEN Specialist Tutor
Location: East of England, Essex, Aveley
Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours
Primary Industry: Education and Training
Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour
Job Duties:
- Provide specialised tutoring to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Create individualised learning plans tailored to each student's needs
- Implement strategies to support students in their academic and social development
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Specialist knowledge and experience in supporting students with ASD and SEN
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
Education:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience working with students with ASD and SEN
- Proven track record of successful student outcomes
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEN Code of Practise and relevant legislation
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Strong behaviour management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
- Training in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) or similar techniques
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily in a home setting
- May require travel to different locations within the East of England region
- Full-time hours, temporary position

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
