Job Title: KS3 English and Maths Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Basildon

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

£20 - £30 per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Create individualised lesson plans to meet the specific needs of each student
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding student progress
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with ASD
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 3 English and Maths curriculum

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a special educational needs (SEN) setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of different learning styles and ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily in the learners home settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
