Science Teacher (with QTS) Required – Exeter

Location: Exeter, Devon
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent
Salary: Teachers’ Pay Scale (TPS), based on experience
Start Date: Immediate

Our Partner School, rated 'GOOD' by Ofsted, is seeking a qualified Science Teacher with QTS to join our team. You will work closely with students aged 11-17, including those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). This role offers a supportive environment where you can make a meaningful impact on young learners' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective science lessons tailored to the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement individual learning plans and strategies for students with EHCPs.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and academic progress.
  • Work closely with parents, external agencies, and support staff to ensure comprehensive support for all learners.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in teaching science.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with EHCPs and the ability to implement strategies to meet diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication skills to build rapport with students, staff, and stakeholders.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching, capable of responding to diverse challenges.
