Are you passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs to reach their full potential? Teaching Personnel's partner SEMH secondary school in Exeter, Devon is looking for a dedicated Learning Coach to join their team and make a real difference in the lives of students.

Job Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Type: Full Time, Temporary to Permanent
  • Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)
  • Pay: £90.00 - £95.00 per day (based on experience)

A Learning Coach has the following responsibilities:

  • Provide academic support and assist with assignments.
  • Help students develop study skills, time management, and organization.
  • Offer emotional support and encourage positive behaviour.
  • Work with teachers to implement personalized learning plans.
  • Track student progress and provide feedback.
  • Foster independence and self-confidence in students.
  • Assist in managing behavioural challenges and promoting self-regulation.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Passion for supporting young people with SEN
  • Education or care experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and resilience
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with students
  • Proactive approach to supporting student development
