We are looking for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a fantastic alternative provision school in New Milton.
Starting 22nd April 2025, this full-time role offers the opportunity to work with students aged 11-16, who face a range of challenges, including SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs.

The Role
As a SEN Cover Supervisor, you will support students in a classroom setting, ensuring they remain engaged, focused, and motivated to succeed. You will work across different subjects, ensuring that students with SEMH needs receive the support they need to thrive in their learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising lessons and ensuring students are engaged and focused on their work.
- Supporting students with SEN, helping them manage their emotions and behaviours.
- Providing guidance and encouragement to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assisting in the delivery of lessons and activities, ensuring that individual needs are met.
- Maintaining a safe and calm classroom atmosphere while managing behaviour.
- Working closely with teaching staff to ensure continuity in lesson delivery.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with students with SEMH or SEN needs.
- A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for helping students achieve their best in an alternative provision setting.
School Hours
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8.30am to 3.30pm.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
