SEN 1-1 Teaching Asssistant
Job description
Do you have a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work in multiple schools across Bodmin, Cornwall. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners!
Key Responsibilities:
- 1-1 Support: Provide tailored support to individual pupils with SEN, helping them to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
- Small Group Assistance: Work with small groups of students, facilitating activities that enhance learning and social development.
- Adaptability: Step into various schools across Bodmin, working on both short and long-term assignments to meet the needs of different students and settings.
- Inclusive Environment: Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every child feels valued and encouraged to succeed.
- Communication: Liaise with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the students you support.
About You:
- Experience: Experience in the care or support sector is highly valued, but not mandatory. We welcome candidates with a genuine passion for working with children with SEN.
- Skills: Strong communication, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Adaptable: Comfortable working in different school environments and with varying age groups.
- Qualifications: A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3) is desirable but not essential. We provide opportunities for professional development.
- DBS Check: Must hold or be willing to obtain a DBS check on the update service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
