Teaching Personnel are working closely with a mainstream primary school based in Weoley Castle to employ a full time Teaching Assistant to work with 2 SEN pupils in KS1. 

 

The role will involve supporting 2 pupils with additional needs, in year 1 and 2. The child in Year 1 has ASD and the child in Year 2 has a medical need and requires additional learning support. In the afternoon 3 days per week, this successful candidate fulfilling this role will be delivering Little Wandle phonics reading practice sessions with groups in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 so someone who is familiar with the programme would be ideal, however we will invest in training the right candidate if needed. 

 

This is a really key role within school and may lead to something more permanent in the future, budget allowing.

 

If you are a person with extensive experience supporting SEN children in KS1 and competent with intervention style work please apply now! This role is due to start on 3rd September therefore you will need to have a DBS on the Update service already to ensure you can start asap.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
