Job description

SEN Support Staff

Teaching Personnel are working with a range of schools in the Weoley Castle area and are recruiting staff to work specifically with their SEN children to ensure they have the right support in place.

Location: West Midlands, Birmingham, Weoley castle B29. 

Salary: £84.29 - £92.48 Per day

Key skills:

Personal care, PECs, Phonics interventions, Patience, Compassion, Confidence, Experience supporting SEN children, Primary school curriculum, Flexibility to year group or key stage. 

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to SEN children in a school setting
  • Assist with personal care tasks
  • Implement PECs and phonics interventions
  • Work closely with teachers to support learning and development
  • Demonstrate patience and compassion in all interactions

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting SEN children
  • Knowledge of the primary school curriculum
  • Understanding of autism

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional training in Makaton

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment with SEN children. The position is temporary and requires Full-Time hours - 8:30-3:30 monday to friday during term time only.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
