Learning Support Assistant Opportunity – SEMH Primary School in Southampton

Teaching Personnel is seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) primary school in Andover. About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in the classroom, supporting children with SEMH needs to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing tailored one-on-one and small-group support to pupils.
• Assisting the teacher in delivering engaging, fun, and adaptable lessons.
• Encouraging positive behavior and fostering pupils’ social and emotional growth.
• Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support their individual needs.
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

This role begins on a temporary basis through Teaching Personnel, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent contract after a successful probation period.
