Job title: Teaching Assistant - SEMH School
Start Date: After Easter – Full Time
Location: Woodeaton Oxford

Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEMH school, starting after Easter. This is a full-time, potential long term role, offering the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of students who require additional support in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with SEMH needs, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Assist with the delivery of tailored lessons and interventions, ensuring each student's needs are met.

  • Support classroom management, helping to create a calm and structured environment.

  • Encourage positive social interactions and personal development.

  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and insights to help improve learning outcomes.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience working with students with SEMH, autism, or other additional needs is desirable but not essential.

  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with both students and staff.

  • A commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in education, psychology, or related fields are a bonus.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
