SEMH Teaching Assistant
Are you a passionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant who could support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. If so Teaching Personnel has a role ideal for someone with a strong understanding of behaviour support strategies and a desire to help young people overcome challenges and succeed in their education.

Responsibilities:
• Providing 1:1 and small group support to students struggling with emotional regulation and behaviour.
• Assisting with the implementation of behaviour management strategies and intervention plans.
• Supporting students in lessons, ensuring positive engagement
• Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and the SENCO to create a safe, inclusive learning space.
• Helping students develop coping mechanisms and confidence in their abilities.
Skills
• Experience in SEMH, behaviour support, or pastoral roles within a school or youth setting.
• Have a patient, calm, and understanding approach to working with young people.
• The ability to build positive relationships
• Experience in youth work, psychology, mentoring, or sports coaching is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
