Job description

A specialist primary provision in Manchester is looking for a Teacher to start as soon as possible. Within this role, you will work with children in KS2 that are currently out of mainstream schooling for a variety of different social, emotional and mental health reasons. The school is very small and due to that you will teach over different year groups.

You will also be required to lead a team of support staff within the classroom to ensure

Required experience and qualifications:

  • A primary PGCE, preferably with teaching experience in a specialist provision
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and how this can be adapted for different needs
  • Experience with challenging behaviour
  • Full time availability

The school would like an individual who is proactive and fits in with the team from the beginning to create a seamless transition for the children. Ideally, you will also have a Team Teach or equivalent qualification, but this is not necessary as long as you have previous experience dealing with difficult behaviour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
