We are pleased to partner with a dynamic and supportive school in Birmingham, which is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic SEMH Support to join their dedicated team with an immediate start.
As SEMH Support, you will play a crucial role in making a positive impact to the educational journey of young learners with additional needs.
This role is working in a primary school in West Bromwich and suited to a candidate with a keen passion for education and learning, confident creating a positive learning environment that promotes student growth and development.
You will also be expected to have good communication skills and effective group management experience.
About The Role:
- Enthusiastic about education and teaching
- Supporting teachers with the preparation of resources to meet the personalised learning intentions of allocated students
- Effectively managing behaviour in the classroom and following the schools behaviour policies
- Ensuring safeguarding of children
- Confidently and flexibly meeting the diverse needs, with experience supporting children
- Be flexible to year group/ key stage
- Able to support 1:1 or lead small groups of children
- To be involved in the provision of all aspects of support necessary that will ensure the students wellbeing and ability to function and engage in learning
- Understanding students learning goals and targets; enable them to practice and learn new skills and encourage independence
About You:
- Knowledge of the national curriculum
- Experience supporting children with additional needs (ASD and ADHD)
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
- Ideally Level 2 or 3 TA qualification or supporting teaching and learning qualification – preferred but not essential
- Previous experience in education environment or possess appropriate transferrable skills
- Full time availability
- Transferrable skills to support children with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
