Support Assistant – SEMH Schools in Scunthorpe
Location: Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire
Pay: £85 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30 (Term time only)
Are you committed to supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for a compassionate and resilient Support Assistant to join our team, working in SEMH schools in Scunthorpe. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and group support for students with SEMH needs.
- Help students to manage challenging behaviours in a positive and constructive manner.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Support the personal and academic development of students, fostering their confidence and resilience.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in working with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with young people.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a dynamic school environment.
- Full-time availability (Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
