Job description

Do you want to work in a school where you have the potential to make a life changing difference to a student’s education? Teaching Personnel are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with a provision in the South of Bristol where the small achievements are big milestones. This schools is not only highly rewarding for the staff and pupils, but also life changing as you have the power and ability to get a young person back into mainstream education and achieve their GCSE’s! it’s a mixture of primary and secondary classes.

This is the ideal opportunity for those who have worked with young people in the community who have struggled to be on the right path, or those who have worked as TA in mainstream but want to make a real difference. You don’t have to require classroom experience, but experience working with challenging behaviour or the willingness to work with challenging behaviour.

 The role is fulltime to begin January and the rest of the academic year!

 

Details of the position:

- No prior teaching qualifications/ experience needed

- Small class sizes of 4 pupils, creating strong relationships with the students

- Monday- Friday (08:30 - 3:30) term time only, with flexible work available, so work fits into your life creating a healthy work/life balance

-  Temp to perm (contract) to the right candidate

- £84/ day paid weekly with accessible travel routes

- Accessible parking and bus routes  

 

The successful candidate will:

- Be confident and proactive working with challenging behaviour. Possess de-escalation qualities.

- Have a good sense of humour and be flexible in challenging situations

- Have the drive the make the difference to a child’s education and confidence

- Be open minded and understanding of individual situations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
