Job description
Full Time Teaching Assistants Wanted
We are looking for individuals who have a passion for working with Secondary Age young people in the Cornwall area.
Job Requirements:
- Work closely with the teacher and support students on all classroom tasks
- Adapt lessons to ensure all students’ needs are met
- Maintain a safe and positive environment for all learners
- Assist children on a 1:1 or group basis under the direction of the teacher
- Offer positive praise to develop children’s self esteem and confidence
- Create opportunities that benefit each student’s individual needs
Although is would be desirable to have school-based experience it is not essential and previous relevant jobs will not be disregarded. Safeguarding Training is necessary, but this is something that we can provide online for you for free, we do also offer other CPD training if this is something you would like to do. A good level of Maths and English is necessary.
When you apply with us, we will offer you a dedicated consultant to assist you through your process, a dairy that allows you flexibility, and the opportunity to work in a number of schools throughout your time with us. We will require reference from your two most recent and relevant employers and a DBS check on the update service will be needed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
