Secondary School Teachers Wanted in Derbyshire
Position: Secondary School Teachers (All Subjects) Location: Nottinghamshire Start Date: Immediate Contract: Long-term with potential for permanent positions
About the Opportunity:
Teaching Personnel, the UK's leading education recruitment agency, is seeking passionate and dedicated Secondary School Teachers to join a variety of esteemed schools across Derbyshire starting in September 2024. We are specifically looking for educators in subjects including but not limited to English, Mathematics, Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Humanities (Geography, History), Modern Foreign Languages, Art, Music, Physical Education, and ICT/Computing. These long-term roles have a strong potential to transition into permanent positions for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Subject Expertise: Deliver engaging and effective lessons in your specific subject area, following the national curriculum guidelines and school-specific schemes of work.
- Adaptability: Tailor teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
- Assessment: Regularly assess and monitor student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessment techniques, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Behaviour Management: Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Extracurricular Involvement: Participate in and contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, clubs, and school events.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities provided by the school and Teaching Personnel to enhance your teaching practice and subject knowledge.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification relevant to the UK educational system.
- Experience: Proven experience teaching at the secondary level in your subject area, with a strong track record of student progress and achievement.
- Skills: Excellent classroom management skills, strong organisational abilities, and the capacity to engage and motivate students.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Commitment: A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to the educational development and well-being of young people.
