Position: Secondary School Teachers (All Subjects) Location: Derbyshire Start Date: September 2024 Contract: Long-term with potential for permanent positions

About the Opportunity:

We are specifically looking for educators in subjects including but not limited to English, Mathematics, Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Humanities (Geography, History), Modern Foreign Languages, Art, Music, Physical Education, and ICT/Computing. These long-term roles have a strong potential to transition into permanent positions for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Subject Expertise: Deliver engaging and effective lessons in your specific subject area, following the national curriculum guidelines and school-specific schemes of work.
  • Adaptability: Tailor teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Assessment: Regularly assess and monitor student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessment techniques, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Behaviour Management: Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Extracurricular Involvement: Participate in and contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, clubs, and school events.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities provided by the school and Teaching Personnel to enhance your teaching practice and subject knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification relevant to the UK educational system.
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching at the secondary level in your subject area, with a strong track record of student progress and achievement.
  • Skills: Excellent classroom management skills, strong organisational abilities, and the capacity to engage and motivate students.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment: A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to the educational development and well-being of young people.
