Our partner primary to secondary SEN/ SEMH school help their students to know their strength and embrace their individuality. They know that every child contributes to the school and their unique talents help the school to thrive. The school environment is based on nurturing and they aim to have a colourful, engaging and safe environment. All students have an EHCP with learning targets catered to their needs and the school is rate ‘Good’ by Ofsted.
Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
As a valued member of the school’s team, you will be supported throughout your time there. You will have access to various supportive techniques, and the children you will be supporting will already have plans in place for you to follow.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN needs.
- Building strong, trusting relationships with students where they feel safe.
- Assisting with classroom activities and individualised learning plans.
- Implementing strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborating with teachers and fellow support staff to foster a positive environment.
- Promoting the well-being, confidence and inclusion of all students.
We welcome individuals who possess:
- Previous experience in support work, supporting students or young adults, or family members with SEN.
- Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Adaptability and resilience to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Passionate about all students achieving their potential, by being provided the correct care and support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
