Are you passionate about empowering the next generation with essential skills? A school in South Bristol is seeking an enthusiastic Secondary Maths Teacher who will support the school’s mission to develop students holistically through their core principles of dreaming big, doing your best and giving back. This is an opportunity for a teacher who has experience with SEN students and for those who have taught functional skills or BTec subjects.

The role:

  • Delivering engaging KS3 and 4 lessons that meet curriculum objectives
  • Managing student behaviour, ensuring the classroom environment is safe and supportive of learning as some of the children have SEN such as dyslexia, ADHD, ASC etc
  • Reporting to parents and other staff members when necessary
  • Plan, mark and assess the work of students
  • Opportunity to initially work with Teaching Personnel, with potential for a permanent school contract

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS Status
  • Has the ability to promote high quality teaching and learning
  • Can support in the promotion of excellent standards of student learning, achievement, progress, attainment and behaviour through working effectively and collaboratively
  • Has excellent subject knowledge coupled with an ability to deliver inspirational lessons.
  • Has experience working with KS3 and 4. Experience teachingFunctional skills is also welcomed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
