Secondary History Teacher

Location: England, Greater London, Lambeth North

Job Type: Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: £150 - £210 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging history lessons to secondary school students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school events
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in History or related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum

Education:

Bachelor's degree in History or related field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching history at the secondary level is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of historical concepts and events
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience using technology in the classroom

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a secondary school setting, following the school calendar and timetable. Some additional hours may be required for staff meetings, parent consultations, and extracurricular activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
