Job Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons to secondary school students
- Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and teaching strategies
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching English at the secondary level

Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of the English curriculum for secondary schools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners

- Willingness to teach some KS3 Drama an advantage
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Education
- Experience working with SEN students
Working Conditions:
The role involves working in a secondary school setting, following the school calendar and timetable. Occasional participation in extracurricular activities and school events may be required. MATERNITY COVER.
A popular 11 to 18 school with 1250 students (180+ in the Sixth Form) and is expanding. As a school they are in the top 10% of schools nationally for KS4 progress and in the top 5% of schools nationally for KS5 progress. The school has a range of newly built modern facilities which now a include purpose built English and English block, new cafeteria and fitness suite.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
