Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking a proactive, reliable, and enthusiastic Secondary Cover Supervisor for a school based in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an OFSTED rated ‘Good’ school so they are looking for someone who can maintain a positive learning environment in the absence of the class teacher.

About the role:

  • Start-date: 2nd June
  • Opportunity to earn £90-£120 per day (dependent on experience)
  • The school is in a great location with excellent transport links across Stoke and Newcastle-under-Lyme.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the pre-set work is completed to a high standard as well as maintaining behaviour standards, following the schools policy. You may cover a variety of subjects with Years 7-11, or you may have subject specific days.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential for this role
  • Confident classroom presence with good knowledge of behaviour management techniques
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students and staff
  • A proactive and positive mindset

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
