Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs (SEN)?
We are seeking a Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team in Ringwood.
This full-time role begins on 22nd April 2025 and offers an exciting opportunity to work in a nurturing and inclusive environment, supporting students with a range of learning difficulties.
About the School
Our school provides a safe, inspiring, and supportive environment where students aged 5 to 11 can flourish. We cater to students with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) and SLD (Severe Learning Disabilities), offering tailored education that addresses each child’s individual needs. The school focuses on holistic development, ensuring that every student is given the support and care they need to succeed.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting lessons across different subjects, ensuring that students remain engaged and focused on their learning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Providing support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
- Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive, calm environment.
- Assisting students with tasks and activities to help them engage in learning.
- Ensuring students have access to the necessary resources and materials.
- Working closely with teaching staff to maintain a supportive and productive classroom environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children, preferably in a SEN or Secondary school setting.
- A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting students.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
School Hours
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8.45am to 4.45pm. Some days may have a varied start time.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
