Job description

We are seeking a motivated Science Tutor to join our team and help students excel in their scientific studies.

Role Overview: As a Science Tutor, you will provide targeted support to students, helping them to develop a strong understanding of key scientific concepts and principles. Your role will involve working with individuals or small groups to enhance their knowledge and confidence in various areas of science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive tutoring sessions tailored to students’ specific needs.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to guide their improvement.
  • Create a supportive learning environment that fosters curiosity and enthusiasm for science.
  • Collaborate with teachers to align tutoring with classroom learning objectives.
  • Prepare students for assessments and encourage a deep understanding of scientific topics.

Person Specification:

  • Strong knowledge of the secondary science curriculum (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
  • Previous experience in tutoring or teaching science is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
