Job description

We are seeking a passionate Mathematics Tutor to support our students in enhancing their mathematical skills and confidence. 

As a Mathematics Tutor, you will provide targeted support to students in small group or one-on-one settings. Your expertise will help students develop their understanding of key mathematical concepts and improve their performance in class and exams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs.
  • Assess students’ strengths and areas for improvement to create personalised learning plans.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to track student progress and share insights.
  • Prepare students for assessments and support their overall mathematical development.

Person Specification:

  • Strong knowledge of the mathematics curriculum for secondary education.
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching mathematics is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • A patient and adaptable approach to teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
