Science Teacher – Tonypandy & Ferndale
Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher for a long-term maternity cover at one of our partner secondary schools in the Tonypandy and Ferndale areas. This role begins ASAP and will continue until at least July. The position follows the Welsh Government framework, with a minimum daily rate of £166.
Requirements:
✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
✔ Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting
✔ Ability to provide two school-based references (if applicable)
✔ Strong subject knowledge across General Science
This is a fantastic opportunity for an NQT or FQT looking for their next challenge. The successful applicant will join a supportive and dynamic Science department dedicated to delivering high-quality education.
Responsibilities:
Plan, implement, and monitor engaging Science lessons for KS3 & KS4
Use a variety of resources to create interactive and inspiring lessons
Contribute to the department’s curriculum development and student progress
