Teaching Personnel is proud to be working on behalf of a high-performing secondary school in Winchester, Hampshire, to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join their thriving science department on a part-time (0.4) basis from September 2025.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 for two days per week (specific days to be confirmed). The role is ideal for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking for a welcoming and well-supported part-time position within a successful department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver inspiring and well-structured Science lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
- Plan lessons in line with departmental schemes of work and school policies.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Uphold excellent standards for behaviour, safeguarding, and professional conduct.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.
About You:
We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Science educator with a strong classroom presence and a genuine passion for the subject.
Essential:
- A degree in a Science-related discipline.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Ability to teach Science to GCSE level.
- Good working knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills.
Desirable:
- Experience teaching AQA Combined Science or Triple Science.
- Knowledge of strategies to support diverse learners, including SEND.
- A willingness to engage with wider school activities and initiatives.
